What does CCB-licensed mean?
Oregon requires anyone who works on structures for pay to hold a license from the Construction Contractors Board (CCB). A license means the contractor carries a surety bond and liability insurance and passed the state's requirements. Every contractor listed on Oregon Trade Finder holds an active CCB license pulled from state records.
How do I check if a contractor is licensed in Oregon?

Is Oregon Trade Finder free?
Free for homeowners, always. Contractors pay a flat subscription to see jobs, the same price for everyone. Nobody can pay for placement or ranking.
Who sees my phone number when I submit a request?
Nobody, until you pick. Contractors see your project description and city, never your name, email, or phone. When you choose from your shortlist, only the contractor you picked receives your contact details; the rest are told the job is taken.
Do I need a permit for small electrical or plumbing work in Oregon?
Usually yes. Oregon requires permits for most electrical and plumbing work beyond simple like-for-like fixture swaps, even adding one outlet typically needs one. Licensed contractors pull the permit for you; that's part of what you're paying for.
What happens if no contractor answers my request?
Urgent requests that get no response within an hour are escalated to a real person who works the phones for you. Slower-timeline requests escalate within a day or two. You'll never just hear silence.
What if the job goes badly?
Tell us privately from your ticket page, every request gets one. Reports feed our quality ladder: contractors who stop answering get moved down, and contractors with verified bad work get removed from the directory. For bond-level disputes, we point you to the CCB complaint process, which can draw on the contractor's bond.
Why are there so few landscapers listed?
Landscape construction in Oregon is licensed by a separate board (the LCB), and basic lawn maintenance needs no license at all, so state CCB records include few landscapers. You can still submit a lawn and landscape request and we route it by hand.
